Priya Ramasubban is a reputed filmmaker who has for more than a decade and a half made films for National Geographic, Discovery, History Channel and other major international broadcasters. She is currently working on a feature film, set in a Himalayan village, which tells the story of 6-year-old girl called Chuskit. Chuskit becomes paraplegic after she has a disastrous fall. The film follows the twists and turns of Chuskit’s life as she tries to convince her family that her dream of going to school hasn’t died. Chuskit’s resilience and doggedness eventually inspires her friends and family and they help her get to school in this beautiful and spiritually uplifting tale.
