Share your Life and Painting Story and How do you overcome challenges:
Ayush is 21 years old. He is non-verbal and has serious difficulties with every kind of social communication. He has clear likes and dislikes. He is also an extremely sensory individual so he loves to dance and work with clay in addition to enjoying drawing and painting. At the age of 15, he was introduced to Zentangle art at Sense Kaleidoscopes – an art academy for Autism. That changed his life and he went on to exhibit in different parts of Bangalore as well as Kochi and Paris. This self-portrait gives a glimpse into his complex mind that appears simple to the outsider looking in. Disability is something that others see. Those who are labeled ‘disabled’ have the insider’s view that highlights a different aspect altogether.
