Unique Yakshagana act in English, by Chetana Child Development Center Mangalore.

Yakshagana literally means the song of natural spirits. This form of opera has survived and thriving in coastal Karnataka and Kerala.

Performance starts with Indra requesting Krishna’s help to counter Narakasura (Played by Nityananda who is Totally Blind). Act consists of delightful conversation between Krishna (Played by Sheethal with Down syndrome) and Satya Bhama (Played by Rashmi, Mental Retardation), who jointly decide to go for the war to save the world from Narakasura. In the war Krishna faints and Satya Bhama single-handedly fights to kill Narakasura.
